Is Elevated Dog Bowl Good for Your Dog?
As the name suggests, elevated dog bowl is one of dog feeders that usually consists of a stand used to raise your dog's food or water bowl to a certain height off the ground. One of the most controversial topics among veterinary scientists in recent years is - elevated dog feeder is good for your dog's health or not. Some reports suggest that the use of elevated bowls may lead to bloat - “Gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV) is a serious condition and is fatal if left untreated. Commonly referred to as "bloat," GDV occurs when a dog's stomach fills with gas, food, or fluid and subsequently twists. GDV develops without warning and can progress quickly.” - Steve from Veterinary Medical Center.however, other researchers have exposed that bloat usually occurs in older and small to medium-sized dogs. now, there is no direct connection between bloat and the elevated dog bowl. much deep research is needed. but scientists approve that elevated dog bowl keeps dogs in a comfortable feeding position and reduce neck and joint strain, making them a good choice for older dogs or dogs with muscle and joint problems. Love this bowl! It’s the second I’ve ordered now both our dogs have one. The small size is the perfect size for our chihuahuas to eat without stooping.
Giving one star less because the blue part of the bowl arrived slightly damaged due to poor packaging.

I've always had raised bowls for my dogs' food, but not for their water -- I'm an idiot! One of my Bostons recently had spinal surgery and one of the myriad recommendations was having raised bowls -- which I was like, "They've had raised bowls since they were babies!" Then I realized, their WATER BOWLS weren't raised!
So, I'm an idiot.
I bought two of these -- one for the kitchen, one for the bedroom. I planned on not using the included metal bowl and just using the plastic/molded form for the water, but when I got them I realized A) the molded bowl is quite deep (deeper than the included metal bowl) and B) utilizing the metal bowl provides an easier clean-out/sanitation situation.
Whether you have smaller dogs (like Bostons) or taller dogs, I highly recommend these -- even the larger ones -- as it makes for a much-easier drinking situation for your babies.

To purchase these brand new is a little costly! Especially when you have to purchase the bowls separately. I purchased these for under $30 with the bowls, great value! I have a Poodle/Shitzu mix he’s 10 pounds. These bowls are the perfect size and the bowls are the perfect feeding size for Tor! Stickers purchased separately.

I like this dog bowl, it’s very sturdy, not too high, easy to clean and has a nice modern look to it.

Great for our dogs. Very easy to clean, doesn’t slide across the floor and seems very sturdy. Purchased the largest bowls for our Pitbull and German Shepard and smallest size for our Frenchie. They seem like they will last a long time!
